High-efficiency terahertz-wave generation in silicon waveguides

Abstract

Terahertz (THz) wave generation via four-wave mixing (FWM) in silicon waveguides are investigated with mid-infrared pump. The maximum conversion efficiency of 1.37 % is realized when the pump peak power of 2000 W.
