High Speed, All-Laser Precision Machining of Gorilla Glass for Consumer Device Displays

Abstract

We demonstrate the first all-laser machining method for glass and other brittle materials that achieves <10 μm chip and crack defect size in the as-cut edges for display panel cut-out, chamfer and interior feature manufacturing steps.
