Gain Switch Laser based on Microstructured Yb-Doped Active Fiber

Abstract

We present a NIR gain-switched fiber laser having output pulses duration of less than 60ns and peak power above 2kW. The laser output exhibits high polarization extinction ration and narrow spectrum appropriate for SHG.
