Graphene Q-switching of a 3 μm Er:ZBLAN fiber laser

Abstract

A passively Q-switched Er:ZBLAN fiber oscillator using a graphene saturable absorber mirror has been demonstrated. This is the first demonstration of a graphene-based Q-switched laser at around 3 μm wavelength.
