Abstract

We give an overview on recent developments in passively mode-locked lasers with high average output power, based on thin disk laser heads and semiconductor saturable absorber mirrors (SESAMs). New power records of 23 W in 420-fs pulses and 60 W in 5-ps pulses are presented.
