Efficient conversion into the mid-IR using Periodically Poled Stoichiometric LiTaO3

Abstract

An OPO based on Periodically Poled Stoichiometric LiTaO3 was operated. More than 15% conversion efficiency from 1.064μm to the 4μm region, and 0.5 Watt of average output power in a signal resonating SRO were achieved.
