Abstract

Highly efficient Nd:YAG ceramic lasers at 1064 nm were demonstrated. For end-pumping, slope efficiency of 58.5% was obtained. For high power side-pumping, 72 W continuous output at 1064 nm was obtained with an optical-to-optical efficiency of 24.8%.
