Abstract

Novel confocal double-pass, Ti:sapphire cw-amplifier with the 4.2 times small-signal gain and 10.6 % extraction efficiency is demonstrated to deliver 5.77-W average-power, 82-MHz repetition-rate, femtosecond pulses. Furthermore, the scalability and cascadabilily of this amplifier is also discussed.
