Abstract

A tunable, Q-switched Tm:glass fiber produced >100 mW, >40 µJ at 2.8 kHz, in a single pulse and 300 mW in multiple pulses. Wavelength and multiple pulsing depended on several spectroscopic, pumping, and Q-switching parameters. Needed spectroscopic parameters are measured and used in laser models to interpret experimental results.
