Laser Amplifier on LiF:F2 Color Center Crystal for 1.1-1.25 µm Spectral Region

Abstract

Single-and double-pass amplification schemes for LiF:F2 color center amplifier pumped by pulsed Nd3+:YAG and Nd3+:YLiF4 lasers were experimentally investigated. Maximal amplification gain up to 90 and energy conversion efficiency of 45% were obtained in double-pass LiF:F2 color center amplifier with 80 ml pump energy from Nd3+:YLiF4 laser.
