Abstract

Room temperature, pulsed laser actions at 2.4µm based on the 3H4-3H5 transition in 1.5% Tm:YLF, 1.5% Tm:YAG and 2.0% Tm:LuAG crystals have been achieved. The experimental data are compared with modeled results. Output energies of more than 1mJ have been obtained for each crystals.
