Abstract

A noncritically phase matched (NCPM) ZnGeP;? optical parametric oscillator (OPO), pumped at 3.5 pm, produced pulse energies of >1.5 mJ at 7.8 pm with an energy conversion efficiency of 6.8%. The measured wavelength does not agree with the calculated value from published Sellmeier coefficients.
