Abstract
A diode-pumped, continuous wave hybrid Nd:phosphate glass and Nd:YVO4 laser was demonstrated. Effective control of the Nd:glass lasing spectrum by Nd:YVO4 was achieved, with the extraction of energy from Nd:glass efficiently transferred from 1054 nm to 1064 nm due to the induced selective transitions in Nd:phosphate glass by the lasing signals at the Nd:YVO4 line.
