Abstract

This volume is the proceedings of the Topical Meeting on Advanced Solid-State Lasers, which took place in Memphis, Tennessee, January 29 to February 1, 1995. The meeting presents the latest results of research in solid-state laser technology, including new laser and nonlinear optical materials, gain-medium spectroscopy, novel laser designs, mode locked ultrashort pulse lasers, micro-structured lasers and nonlinear devices, and optical parametric oscillators.
