Self-Optimized Resonators for Efficient Diode-Pumped Lasers

Abstract

We demonstrate that the use of self-imaging confocal cavity can be a very simple way for obtaining high efficiency with diode-pumped lasers. In this type of resonator the transverse mode self-adjust to fit the pumped volume at best
