Abstract

New high power monolithic Surface Emitting Laser Diode 2D arrays (SELDs) are used to pump an Nd. YAG slab in QCW mode. The laser delivers 6.5 mJ in the free- running mode for 30 mJ pumping light. In the Q-switch mode, a 60 kW peak power per pulse is achieved.
