High-Average-Power End-Pumped Nd:YAG Laser Development

Abstract

A compact, modular 80-100 W laser design has been developed. In initial tests, a cw output of 72 W has been demonstrated with an optical efficiency of 30%. We report on the power scaling properties, design, and performance of this laser.
