Comprehensive Modeling of Laser-Diode-Pumped Multi-Doped 2.1-µm Ho Lasers

Abstract

Results are presented of a theoretical model which describes the performance of laser-pumped Tm,Ho:YAG lasers. The model takes into account interaction processes between doping ions, like crossrelaxation, upconversion and energy transfer. Results are discussed for several pump-to-laser coupling geometries.
