Alexandrite Laser Frequency Doubling in a β-BaB2O4 Crystal

Abstract

Frequency doubling the Alexandrite laser can provide a tunable ultraviolet coherent source in the wavelength region 360 nm to 390 nm. An efficient tunable UV coherent source is useful for generating tunable coherence source in the visible wavelength regions via Raman wavelength shifting and other wavelength shifting techniques.
