Abstract

The optical characteristics of Titanium doped Sapphire suggest that this material could be an efficient tunable solid state laser. In order to monitor the quality of Ti:Sapphire laser crystals and perhaps to suggest improvements in growth techniques, we have initiated a study of its material properties.
