A new method to fabricate phase-shifted Fiber Bragg gratings by femtosecond laser point-by-point inscription

Abstract

A new method to fabricate phase-shifted FBGs is demonstrated. A section of silica tube was firstly spliced between two SMFs and then a Bragg grating was point-by-point inscribed in the core center by femtosecond laser.
