Abstract

Dual-peak long period fibre grating UV-inscribed in boron-germanium (B/Ge) doped 80µm-cladding at near infrared region is presented for sugar concentration and glucose detection. High sensitivities of ~4.6696 nm/% and 7.16nm/mgml−1 were obtained for sugar-concentration and glucose-detection respectively.
