Improvement of Mechanical Strength of Polymer-Coated, Hollow-Optical Fiber for FT-IR Remote Spectroscopy

Abstract

Rugged hollow fibers for FT-IR remote spectroscopy are fabricated by all-liquid phase technique. A buffer film coated on the inside of the silica-glass capillary protects the tube from acid solution and improves the mechanical strength.
