Abstract

When an image is observed through the photorefractive crystal, the multiwave mixing between components of the image spatial spectrum should lead to drastic image distortion. We have studied the image evolution in sillenite crystal with diffusion-type mechanism of nonlinearity both experimentally and by means of numerical simulation.
