Thin film and Boundary Effects on Photorefractive Recording

Abstract

The effects of boundary conditions on photorefractive recording in bound media are reviewed. The main peculiar features are illustrated for thin films, layered (periodically poled) materials and shallow gratings generated under band-gap excitation in semiconductors.
