High-Contrast Point-Spread-Function from Sequential Deformable Mirrors for Exoplanet Imaging

Abstract

We report a high-contrast imaging system in which two sequential deformable mirrors are controlled through orthonormal movements of the actuators in the control space, negating the needs for modeling the optical system and specialty mirrors.
