Abstract

We present the results of the implementation of an Adaptive Optics (AO) Point Spread Function Reconstruction (PSF-R) algorithm on the Gemini-North (Altair) and W.M. Keck systems, for the simplest mode: on-axis bright natural guide star (NGS). We find that unknown telescope, instrument and non-common path aberrations - that are not accounted for in the current model - are as important as the residual turbulence aberrations. We discuss these limitations here and describe our plans to measure and include these unknown aberrations in our model.
