Chemical Sensing Using Broadband Mid-Infrared Femtosecond Optical Parametric Oscillators

Abstract

We demonstrate the application of broadband 3–5-µm femtosecond OPOs to free-space chemical sensing of liquids and gases at stand-offs of several meters, and how sensing can be extended to hyper-spectral imaging using mid-infrared cameras.
