Conjugate Adaptive Optics in Microscopy with Partitioned Aperture Wavefront Sensing

Abstract

We describe a wide field microscopy adaptive optics (AO) technique in which the deformable mirror is conjugate to an interface aberration. We demonstrate extended field of view achieved with this technique in comparison to conventional pupil-plane AO, and then describe an approach to direct wavefront sensing in conjugate AO using a partitioned aperture.
