Abstract
This paper experimentally shows that using an array of Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers to probe a scattering medium in which an inhomogeneity is embedded enables one to localize and characterize this inhomogeneity. It reports on an optical experiment based on the study of the beams transmitted through the medium. Two types of experiments, the first one without optical elements and the second one with a polarimetric analyzer, are presented. Finally, the advantages of the technique developed hereabove are discussed.
