Abstract
The advancement of adaptive optics requires improved processes for manufacturing the facesheet and the as-assembled mirror as a whole. Magnetorheological Finishing (MRF®) is a deterministic, sub-aperture, shear-based removal process that provides solutions to both of these issues.
