Thermo-optic devices based on highly absorbing optical fibers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Laser induced heating in absorbing optical fibers allows for creation of various optical devices. Here we present design of thermo-optic path-length modulators, fluid thermal-conductivity sensors, low-pressure gas sensors, fluid leakage and multi-parameter gas sensors.
