Abstract
With the rapid development of hollow-core fibers (HCFs) with low attenuation over a broad wavelength range even in the mid-infrared region, gas-filled HCF lasers have emerged as an alternative technology, combining attractive features of both fiber lasers and gas lasers. Recent progress of gas-filled HCF lasers operating at the mid-infrared has been reviewed and some discussions and prospective predictions have also been proposed.
