Real-time Bidirectional Transmission of up to 1.25-Gbps 16-PPM over a Free-Space Optical link

Abstract

This paper experimentally demonstrates a real-time bidirectional communication system of 16-ary pulse position modulation over a free space optical transmission. This system can guarantee error-free transmission when the received optical power is higher than -38dBm.
