Optical Beamforming-Based Inter-cell Interference Coordination for Millimeter-Wave Cloud RANs

Abstract

The low-cost implementation of optical true time delay-based hybrid beamforming is proposed for millimeter-wave cloud radio access networks, where all phase control modules are centrally deployed. Moreover, multi-cell coordinated beamforming is exploited for interference management.
