All-optical carrier recovery for self-homodyne detection using injection locked stimulated Brillouin laser in Silica WGM microcavity

Abstract

We demonstrate all-optical carrier recovery using injection locked Brillouin laser in optical microcavity. Via injection locking, phase coherence between the original and recovered carriers is greatly enhanced, enabling high-quality self-homodyne detection without carrier phase estimation.
