Experimentally Demonstration of 2D-TCM for OFDM-based visible light communication

Abstract

In the paper, 2-dimensional trellis code modulation (2D-TCM) combined with 16/32QAM OFDM is proposed in visible light communication. The experimental results show that, by using the 2D-TCM 16/32QAM OFDM, the data rate is 2.65 Gb/s and 3.53 Gb/s, respectively. And the BER is lower than the FEC threshold of 3.8×10−3.
