Abstract

A silicon vestigial sideband transmitter consisting of a Mach-Zender modulator and a micro-ring resonator is designed for compensating dispersion-induced power fading in IF-over- fiber mobile fronthaul. It enables a transmission of a 10-Gbaud 16-QAM OFDM signal over 80-km fiber.
