Widely Tunable 1.3 μm InGaAlAs/InP DBR Laser

Abstract

1.3 μm DBR laser having InGaAlAs gain material and butt-jointed InGaAsP DBR material is reported. The laser has an over 16 nm wavelength tuning range induced by self heating effect of the DBR section.
