Tuning Thermal Coefficient of Delay of Photonic-Bandgap Hollow-Core Fiber by Surface-Mode Coupling

Abstract

We numerically demonstrate that surface modes play an important role in the tuning of temperature dependent group delay of PBG-HCF, with the thermal coefficient of delay tuned from -400 ps/km/K to 400 ps/km/K.
