Low-Complexity Carrier Phase Estimation for Probabilistically Shaped MQAM Signals based on Kullback- Leibler Divergence Analysis with Squared Symbols

Abstract

A low-complexity phase estimation algorithm based on the Kullback-Leibler divergence analysis with squared symbols is proposed for probabilistically shaped M-QAM signals. Results show that it offers better performance than the principal component analysis based one.
