Fault Detection of Few Mode Fiber Based on Spatial Mode Transmission Reflection Analysis

Abstract

This paper proposes a fast and simple monitoring technique based on spatial mode transmission-reflection analysis for long-reach FMF-based mode division multiplexing system. Results shows that the proposed method can achieve high fault localization accuracy.
