Laser Spot Centroid Locating and Tracking Based on Tobit Kalman Filter in FSO Communications

Abstract

An improved laser spot centroid extraction algorithm based on Tobit Kalman filter is proposed for FSO communication systems. The performance of the algorithm in terms of the mean and variance of spot position offset are evaluated and discussed.
