A Phase Noise Suppression Scheme Based On Polarization Conjugation in Satellite-to-Ground CO-OFDM

Abstract

We propose to send conjugated symbols carried by two polarizations in Satellite-to-Ground CO-OFDM system to mitigate phase noise introduced by atmospheric turbulence and lasers. Simulation results show 3 dB improvement compared to traditional single-polarization systems.
