Abstract

In photonic-based RF generation, output power can be enhanced by compressing optical pulse width before photo diode. In this presentation, we describe the results of numerical simulations for two future directions. One is to use four-sectioned dispersion managed fiber (DMF) with highly nonlinear fibers (HNLF) for 300-GHz broadband RF generation, and another one is to use a HNLF and a standard single mode fiber for simplified compression fiber.
