Broadband Metamaterial Perfect Absorber Utilizing Titanium-Silica-Iron Metal-Insulator-Metal Multilayer with Stepped Titanium Nanopillars

Abstract

A metamaterial absorber utilizing metal-insulator-metal multilayer with stepped nanopillars is presented whose average absorption reaches 98.5% in the wavelength range of 400~2000 nm under normal incidence. It is angle-insensitive for both TM and TE polarization.
