Pre-equalization Techniques for Single Lambda 100 Gb/s PAM4 IM/DD System

Abstract

We experimentally compare three pre-equalization schemes in the 100 Gb/s/λ PAM4 IM/DD system with 17 GHz 10-dB bandwidth, achieving the receiver sensitivity of -20.9 dBm with the combination of Tomlinson-Harashima precoding and post feed-forward equalization.
