Abstract

A new structure based on multi-nanohole micro-ring resonator has been proposed to enhance quality factor(Q) and extinction ratio(ER). Q of 1.9×105 and ER of 34.87dB can be realized in a 20μm×20μm footprint device. Moreover, this structure also shows good linearity in refractive index sensing, promising great potentials in both optical communication and environment monitoring.
