Abstract

We propose a broadband optical frequency comb generator using an injection-locking fiber ring laser with single phase modulator within ring cavity and highly nonlinear fiber as spectrum expander based on cascaded four-wave mixing, a stable 20-GHz optical comb of 201 comb lines within 30-dB power deviation, spanning 40 nm bandwidth, is achieved only using one stage spectrum expander including a 1-Km long highly nonlinear fiber.
