Abstract

We extend failure independent path-protecting (FIPP) p-cycles to support dual failure network protection. Results show that while guaranteeing a fast restoration speed, FIPP p-cycles is efficient to achieve spare capacity redundancy comparable to the conventional path-based dual failure protection techniques.
